Chef and Owner
Chef Suleka comes from a long line of cooks and restaurant owners, however her career started as a designer and project manager in architecture field for over 12 years. She has been cooking professionally since 1994 and had completed a CIA's professional enrichment program in 2016. Today, she manages her restaurants, Thai Basil in Midtown and Veg - vegetarian cafe & bar on the 2nd floor above the restaurant.
Suleka holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from UC-Davis, Ca
