Passionate about authentic Thai home cooking quality, Prayoon Sununsangthong initiated the first Thai Basil restaurant in Roseville in 1994 with her two daughters, Wannipa and Suleka. Since then, Thai Basil is the most awarded Thai restaurants in Sacramento area. Today, Thai Basil are individually owned and operated by her daughters: Roseville and Midtown. Each has its own characteristics and signature dishes, yet the sisters share their mother's passion for food and quality.

Suleka Sun-Lindley, co-founder of Thai Basil with her sister and mother in 1994. Graduated with BS in Environmental Design, UC Davis, and Culinary Institute of America - Elite Program with certificate of completion 2016.

"I was with a group that had a Thai cooking class combined with a drink mixing class. I was great. We Worked with the restaurant owner, suleka, as she guided us through Thai spices and sauces and how they are used in Thai cooking.
The final product was terrific."
